We are thrilled to announce that our own Cote Village development has WON the Affordable Housing Finance Magazine (AHF) 2022 Readers' Choice Award in the Best New Family Development category! Our work transforming a neighborhood blight into a vibrant affordable housing development will be showcased to readers and developers across the country. We share this honor with our development partner the Planning Office for Urban Affairs (POUA).
Cote Village in Mattapan was previously the site of the abandoned Cote Ford Dealership–an eyesore and environmental hazard that had been abandoned for decades. The apartment, retail and office complex is dedicated as workforce housing (housing that is affordable to workers, often those designated as essential, and in close proximity to their place of work) and for families and individuals whose earnings are 60% or less of the Boston area median household income. It also includes a community garden.
The formal public presentation of the awards took place on November 14 at the Hyatt Regency Chicago. We sincerely thank all those who believed in our vision and worked so hard to make this development possible.
